| The depressions in the sand at your feet reveal the past presence of green turtles which bury their eggs in the sand and then leave their offspring to fend for themselves. The eggs eventually hatch and the young turtles must then race for the relative safety of the sea. This nightly spectacle can be watched by visitors - as it is by numerous predators such as gulls and foxes. | |||
