A drive along the coastal route brings the visitor to Wadi Tiwi, justifiably famous as one of the most beautiful wadis in Oman. Driving or walking along the bottom of the steep gorge, visitors follow the stream, which rises in the mountains above, as they climb higher and higher through palm groves and a small village. If lucky, they may see the brilliant blue flash of a kingfisher.
